A redesign of Sailor Pluto from the ‘Sailor Moon’ series. I don’t think of it as fan art as I’m not actually a fan of the show, but it was the theme for this month’s Character Design Challenge and it’s always good practice and fun to participate. My main design goal here was to remove the more “froofy” parts of the costume – giant bows and miniskirt, etc. – and to aim for something that felt more like a science fiction jumpsuit/superhero outfit while giving nods to the original costume.
