When you’re developing app icons for a big game, it’s generally routine to develop a LOT of ideas and then test them with potential players before arriving at the final design. These were all icons that I created for Nexon-M’s game Arcane Citadel. Having access to the game’s 3D files, I posed each of the characters, adjusted the lighting, rendered them out, developed backgrounds, and painted over the renders to create colorful, exciting elements for this fantasy strategy game. The final icon for the game (at least for soft launch) was the red demon in row 2, column 1.
